MegaFon has upgraded its network infrastructure in the Tver region, specifically targeting the village of Maksatikha and the village of Rivitsa. By activating additional frequency bands, the operator increased mobile internet speeds by 30 percent for the local population.
The network expansion provides over 7,500 residents with improved connectivity for remote work, education, and online services. The upgrade also covers the road segment between Bezhetsk and Vyshny Volochek, allowing drivers to use navigation and communication tools reliably.
According to Stanislav Losev, director of MegaFon in the Tver region, the project focuses on ensuring stable 4G coverage for both permanent residents and seasonal visitors. This initiative is part of a broader regional development program.
In 2026, the operator deployed new infrastructure across several other districts in the Tver region, including Kimrsky, Kalyazinsky, Kashinsky, Kuvshinovsky, and Konakovsky areas.
