MegaFon has expanded its network coverage across several districts in Karachay-Cherkessia, including the Urupsky, Zelenchuksky, Karachayevsky, Prikubansky, and Malokarachayevsky areas. The upgrade affects over ten settlements, including small villages with populations of up to 1,000 residents.
The company installed new base stations and upgraded existing infrastructure across six districts. Engineers integrated additional mid- and high-frequency LTE bands to improve voice call quality and extend 4G coverage to both residential and social facilities.
According to the operator, mobile data consumption in the region grows by an average of 13% annually. Local residents currently use over 300 GB of data per month on average, primarily for social media, video streaming, and music platforms.
