MegaFon has installed new telecommunications equipment along the M-5 Ural federal highway in the Ulyanovsk region. This initiative aims to provide stable 4G coverage for motorists and residents in areas bordering the Penza and Samara regions.
The network expansion includes the village of Nagorny in the Nikolayevsky district and the village of Repyevka in the Novospassky district, serving approximately 1,200 residents. Engineers utilized mid-band frequencies to ensure broad signal distribution and indoor penetration.
The infrastructure upgrade maintains an average internet speed of 30 Mbps under high network load. Additionally, the operator has introduced VoLTE technology, which enables high-quality voice calls without interrupting data connections.
This project is part of a broader program focused on developing communication infrastructure across federal highways. With the completion of this phase, MegaFon has achieved full 4G coverage of the M-5 highway within the Ulyanovsk region.
