MediaTek has unveiled the Dimensity CX C10 Max, a 3nm SoC designed for the upcoming Googlebook initiative. The chip is scheduled to launch on September 21, coinciding with the retail debut of Googlebook devices.

The processor features an eight-core architecture consisting of one Cortex-X925, three Cortex-X4, and four Cortex-A720 cores. It includes an Arm Immortalis-G925 MC11 GPU and a MediaTek NPU 890, matching the configuration of the Kompanio Ultra 910.

Key technical specifications include 12MB of L3 cache, 10MB of system-level cache, and support for LPDDR5X memory with speeds reaching 9,600MT/s. MediaTek claims the chip can support up to 19 hours of battery life based on tests with a 60Whr battery.

MediaTek claims a 15% increase in multi-threaded performance and 50% lower power consumption in single-threaded tasks compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-84-100. These tests were conducted using Geekbench 6.5 at an iso-power of 12W.

The company stated that the C10 Max is intended to compete with the Qualcomm X1 Elite series. Currently, the chip is confirmed exclusively for Googlebook devices and will not be utilized in standard Chromebook or Chromebook Plus hardware.
