Mazda has introduced the EZ-60 Laser Edition, an updated version of its CX-6e electric SUV, specifically for the Chinese market. The vehicle now features a LiDAR sensor suite integrated with 11 high-definition cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and three millimeter-wave radar sensors to support advanced L2 autonomous driving capabilities.

The system enables navigation on autopilot, automated parking, and highway assistance at speeds between 0 and 130 km/h. It utilizes Tencent’s lane-level navigation to manage urban traffic, including construction zones and narrow passages. The car also includes an OTA-enabled follow-up tour function for group driving.

The updated safety suite features active braking capable of stopping for stationary objects at speeds up to 110 km/h and pedestrians at up to 90 km/h. The system can also perform emergency steering to avoid obstacles. It has received a TOP Intelligence Intelligent Safety Challenge certificate from CATARC.

The CX-6e is a product of the joint venture between Mazda and Changan Auto. The base model is equipped with a rear-mounted motor producing 190 kW and 214 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 77.94 kWh LFP battery that provides a range of up to 600 km.
