Four Japanese Mazda dealers, including Koshin Mazda and Shizuoka Mazda, have launched a limited run of six Roadster FSW Ver.2 vehicles. These cars feature a Sunflower Yellow paint job, a color previously unavailable for the current ND-generation MX-5.

The customization process is handled by Mazda Engineering & Technology in Hiroshima, the same facility responsible for the company's concept cars. Each vehicle includes official factory certification, color-matched interior trim, and a specialized key fob.

The package is priced at ¥1,452,000, which is added to the base cost of a standard Roadster S Special Package. This fee covers the paint work and a two-day, one-night trip to Hiroshima, including visits to the Mazda Museum and headquarters.

Access to purchase these vehicles is restricted to a lottery system held at the Fuji Speedway during the Mazda Fan Festa on October 3 and 4, 2026. Applicants must be present in person to submit their entries, with three cars allocated for each day of the event.

The project is exclusive to the Japanese market. Winners are selected on-site, and the vehicles must be serviced through the participating dealer network. This initiative marks a rare instance of dealer-led projects receiving factory-level authentication.
