Mayan Finance utilizes two routing mechanisms built on Wormhole's messaging layer. The Swift system uses competitive solvers to settle transactions within two to twelve seconds, while WH Swap integrates instructions into the Token Bridge framework for atomic execution.

The protocol maintains low fees, with WH Swap charging 10 basis points and Swift charging approximately 3 basis points. For example, a $10,000 transfer via Swift costs three dollars.

Stablecoins are the primary driver of growth, with USDC-to-USDC being the dominant pair. USDC transfers across chains exceeded $8 billion by the end of 2025.

The protocol's volume grew steadily, reaching $16 billion by the end of 2025, then ranging between $17.5 billion and $19 billion in the first half of 2026, before surpassing $20.23 billion in early September 2026.

Since launch, Mayan has processed 9.6 million transactions across 3.4 million unique wallets. It is integrated into DEX aggregators KyberSwap and Jumper, and it powers the Portal Swap product from Wormhole.

Currently, the protocol operates with Ethereum and Solana as anchor networks. The roadmap includes future expansion to MegaETH and Monad.
