MaxLinear has updated its 2026 revenue forecast for the optical data center segment to a range of $250 million to $270 million. This marks the second upward revision in six months, as the previous estimate was set at $210 million to $230 million.

In the third quarter of 2026, the company reported total revenue of $218.1 million, representing a 72% increase year-over-year and a 29% rise from the previous quarter. Infrastructure revenue reached approximately $125 million, growing 210% compared to the same period last year.

The company attributes its growth to high-speed optical DSP products, specifically the Keystone platform for 800G deployments. For the fourth quarter of 2026, MaxLinear projects revenue between $240 million and $260 million, with a non-GAAP gross margin of 59% to 62%.

Looking ahead, MaxLinear plans to introduce the Rushmore DSP platform for 1.6T products. Revenue contributions from this platform are expected to begin in the first half of 2027, with growth continuing into 2028. CEO Kishore Seendripu noted that foundry capacity limitations remain a potential constraint.
