The Max messenger has introduced targeted advertising in public channels. Advertisers can now manage campaigns through the VK Ads platform, with plans to integrate other domestic advertising services in the future.

To be eligible for ad placement, a channel must have at least 1,000 subscribers. Currently, the feature is available in over 1,500 channels, and the company intends to expand this list.

Ads appear after the main content and can link to a specific channel, a post within the messenger, or an external website. The platform supports both text and visual-text formats for promotional blocks.

To launch a campaign, users select the 'Channels' promotion object in the VK Ads cabinet and configure targeting parameters such as geography and demographics. The system utilizes the VK Discovery platform for user matching.

This update follows the integration of the VK Donat chatbot for creator monetization. As of August, the total user base of the Max messenger has surpassed 140 million people.
