Marvell showcased its new 2nm optical technology portfolio at the ECOC 2026 European Conference on Optical Communication. The company presented a total of 38 advanced technical solutions designed for AI data center infrastructure.

The demonstration included the industry's first 2nm 400G/lane optical PAM4 and the first live demonstration of 2nm 800G ZR/ZR+ with MACsec. Additionally, Marvell displayed 2nm 1.6T ZR and coherent lightweight O-band technologies.

The company also introduced next-generation AI Fabric co-packaged optics (CPO) technology operating at 200G/lane. These solutions aim to support the scaling of AI data center architectures from 1.6T to 3.2T and beyond.

Marvell emphasizes that increasing bandwidth density while improving energy efficiency is essential for the expansion of AI infrastructure. The new technologies are intended to provide faster, more secure, and lower-power optical interconnects.
