Mozilla has officially introduced the Project Nova visual update in the stable release of Firefox 157. This update represents the most significant interface redesign for the browser in recent years, affecting tabs, toolbars, menus, panels, icons, and the settings menu to create a more minimalist aesthetic.
Users who prefer the classic browser interface can disable the Nova design by accessing the advanced configuration menu. By navigating to about:config and setting the browser.nova.enabled parameter to false, the browser reverts to its previous visual state.
Additionally, Firefox 157 includes a new sidebar located on the left side of the window, which displays icons for various sections. This element can also be deactivated through the configuration settings by changing the sidebar.revamp value from true to false.
