On October 8, 2026, a widespread internet outage affected numerous services across Russia. Users reported significant difficulties accessing major news outlets, marketplaces, banking platforms, transport services, and online cinemas throughout the afternoon.

The 3DNews website experienced downtime for some users between 15:30 and 16:05. Other platforms, including Vedomosti, RIA Novosti, Interfax, Gosuslugi, Cian, Avito, VK, and Russian Railways, also faced connectivity issues according to monitoring services.

The disruptions coincide with an incident at a Yandex data center in Sasovo, Ryazan Oblast. Following a drone attack during the night, the facility ceased operations. Yandex confirmed that some services might be unavailable and reported power supply issues in one of the Yandex Cloud zones.

While Yandex Mail has already restored its functionality, the full extent of the outage remains difficult to quantify. Current data relies primarily on user reports rather than official confirmation of total service failures from all affected providers.
