Maingear has launched a new trade-in program allowing customers to exchange old electronics for credit toward a custom gaming PC. The service covers various devices, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, headphones, cameras, lenses, and microphones.

The company partnered with the recycling and refurbishment firm SELLIT9 to facilitate the process. Customers receive instant quotes and a Maingear gift card immediately upon completing the trade-in request. The program aims to eliminate the need for manual listings or meeting buyers in person.

The terms specify that a temporary hold is placed on the shopper's credit card until the traded-in equipment is inspected and verified by the partner. This ensures the condition of the hardware matches the initial assessment provided during the quote process.

SELLIT9 is a Canadian business that recently secured $4,1 million in funding to support its expansion across North America. The partnership with Maingear marks a significant step for the company as it scales its operations within the United States market.
