On October 8, the automotive platform Dongchedi released test results for the Maextro V800. During continuous braking tests from 100 km/h to 0, the brake pedals of three consecutive vehicles snapped at the same plastic reinforcement point. The force applied by the driver at the moment of failure exceeded 1600N.

The incident sparked widespread discussion, with blogger 'Keji Xinyi' suggesting that Huawei blacklist influencers who have been defending the brand. The blogger argued that these attempts to downplay the issue have only fueled public backlash and kept the controversy alive for several days.

Critics of the defense campaign point out that some influencers have attempted to replicate the test without breaking the pedal, which fails to address the initial failure reported by Dongchedi. The blogger noted that such actions only alienate users and make them feel manipulated.

Maextro officially responded to the test results, stating that the braking system was developed according to standards exceeding national requirements. The company confirmed that no such failures have occurred in real-world usage but pledged to optimize the component design and offer free upgrades to existing owners.
