Maextro will begin a free upgrade program for the V800 brake pedal in November. The company expects to finalize the technical solution by the end of October before rolling out the service to existing owners.

The upgrade is voluntary for current vehicle owners. Those interested can contact official customer support to schedule an appointment at a nearby service center. The manufacturer explicitly stated that this initiative is not a vehicle recall.

The decision follows a viral test video by Dongchedi, which showed the brake pedal bracket base breaking during high-speed emergency braking. The company noted that no such failures have been reported in real-world driving conditions.

According to the brand, the braking system met or exceeded national and industry standards during development. Despite this, the company is optimizing the component design to increase safety margins and is reviewing its production quality control processes.
