Mach Industries has secured $600 million in funding to scale its manufacturing operations. This investment extends the company's Series C round, which originally closed in June. The latest capital injection saw participation from existing investors, including Ribbit Capital, Infinite Capital, Bedrock Capital, and Sequoia.
The startup specializes in autonomous aircraft, including the Viper drone, which features vertical takeoff capabilities and a turbojet engine. The product lineup also includes the Glide and Pike models for long-range flight, and the Dart interceptor drone. Additionally, the company is developing a high-altitude balloon system.
In June, the company secured a contract from the U.S. Department of Defense to develop the Atlas aircraft, designed for ship-based operations with a range of 1,400 nautical miles. Mach Industries is building a vertically integrated manufacturing system, supported by its 115,000-square-foot facility in Huntington Beach, California.
The company is actively expanding its production capabilities through strategic acquisitions and partnerships. In May, it acquired rocket motor manufacturer Exquadrum Inc. for $50 million. Furthermore, a collaboration with Divergent Technologies recently enabled the design and production of a new drone in 71 days using 3D printing.
