Luxeed RX, a new coupe SUV from Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, has received a permit for L3 autonomous driving road tests. Richard Yu, Chairman of the Terminal BG at Huawei, confirmed that the vehicle is currently undergoing testing on complex urban expressways.
The vehicle features an L3 autonomous driving architecture with eight levels of redundancy. This includes dual systems for braking, steering, and computing, as well as redundant positioning and communication links. The interaction system monitors the driver through visual, auditory, and tactile alerts.
Built on the Huawei Tuling platform, the Luxeed RX comes in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. It measures 5020x2007x1585 mm with a 3000 mm wheelbase and features Huawei's new generation high-performance electric drive system.
The sensor suite consists of 38 integrated units, including an 896-line dual-optical path lidar and three high-precision solid-state lidars. The model also incorporates smart seats and dual-view mirrors, with a starting pre-sale price of ¥299 800.
