Lucid has launched the Air UX 3.0 software update, which introduces the interface design from the Gravity SUV to its Air sedan lineup. The update is part of the 2.11.0 software version and aims to improve screen responsiveness and simplify menu navigation for users.
Owners of 2025 and newer Lucid Air models will receive the update for free via an over-the-air delivery. However, owners of 2022, 2023, and some 2024 vehicles must first purchase a hardware upgrade for the infotainment processor to support the new interface.
The hardware retrofit is priced at $950 in the United States, which includes installation costs but excludes taxes. Customers are required to contact Lucid Customer Care to verify their vehicle's eligibility for this specific upgrade.
The new interface features a card-based system on the Cockpit Panel behind the steering wheel and a Quick Controls menu on the central Pilot Panel. Lucid claims these changes will improve app performance and reliability when using features like Apple CarPlay.
