Lucid is preparing for its market entry in France by partnering with Emil Frey France. The American manufacturer will retain control over its brand, sales strategy, and customer experience while utilizing the infrastructure of its new partner. Emil Frey France, which manages operations for brands like Mitsubishi and Subaru, reported a turnover of €4,7 billion and sales of over 193 000 vehicles in 2025.

The company plans to showcase the Lucid Air saloon and the Lucid Gravity SUV at the Paris Motor Show, scheduled for 12–18 October. This event marks the brand's first official public appearance in the country. Lucid is adopting a hybrid sales model in Europe, combining direct sales with external partnerships, similar to its recent collaboration with the Wackenhut group in Germany.

Despite these developments, Lucid has not disclosed specific timelines for order intake or vehicle deliveries in France. Details regarding the number of planned service locations and investment figures remain confidential. The French market was part of a broader European expansion strategy announced in early 2026, which also included plans for Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Austria, Sweden, and Spain.

The company's expansion timeline has faced adjustments, as launches in Austria and Spain are now expected to be delayed until 2027. Lucid previously established a test drive center in Brussels, Belgium, in June 2026. The upcoming Paris Motor Show will serve as the primary platform for the brand's introduction to the French public.
