Liquid AI is developing artificial intelligence systems designed to operate directly on end-user devices, such as smartphones, wearables, PCs, and vehicles. According to COO Jeffrey Li, the company focuses on creating models and agent software that function within the constraints of fixed edge hardware.
The company introduced Liquid Context, a solution optimized for Snapdragon processors. This technology utilizes device signals to interpret user intent and behavior. To manage limited storage and compute resources, Liquid AI employs its own models to compress and filter the information retained by AI agents.
Liquid AI is currently collaborating with Mercedes-Benz Group AG to integrate on-device AI into automotive systems. The company aims to implement observability and continuous improvement loops, allowing these agents to self-heal and personalize their performance based on natural usage patterns over time.
