Lido has launched the 0x02 Community Staking Module (CSM) on the testnet. The new framework allows validators to compound balances up to 2,048 ETH, which is 64 times higher than the 32 ETH limit in the current 0x01 module.

The deployment of the 0x02 module on the mainnet is planned for October 2026, pending approval from the Lido DAO. This upgrade aims to reduce operational complexity for large-scale stakers by allowing them to consolidate capital under a single validator.

The deposit process requires an initial 32 ETH, with subsequent top-ups allowed. Proposed bond parameters include 32 ETH for the first key and 30 ETH for additional keys, alongside an 8% reward allocation for the DAO.

Lido estimates that the new module offers a 2.26x efficiency multiplier compared to traditional solo staking. The system remains permissionless, requiring no KYC and maintaining open access for all participants.
