Lian Li has introduced two new hub models, the Edge Hub V2 and the Edge Hub Adv. Both devices utilize PCIe 8-Pin power connectors and feature magnetic mounting, allowing them to be paired with the company's Edge or RS series power supplies or installed in other locations within a PC case.
The hubs are built on a dual-chip parallel architecture. They provide four 9-Pin USB headers and six 4-Pin PWM headers. Users can manage these devices through the L-Connect 3 software, which allows for USB data traffic monitoring, alerts, and custom port naming.
The Edge Hub Adv model includes additional functionality for hardware monitoring. It features two 12V-2×6 cable temperature sensor headers, enabling real-time GPU power supply temperature tracking and automatic safety shutdown via the L-Connect 3 software.
The two models differ in their USB connectivity capacity. The Edge Hub V2 supports eight downstream USB signals, as its four headers function as one-to-two splitters. Due to the hardware requirements for temperature monitoring, the Edge Hub Adv supports seven downstream USB signals.
