Lian Li has introduced the Edge Hub Adv, a new version of its USB-controlled fan hub designed to mitigate risks associated with 12v-2x6 GPU power connectors. The device features two sensor ports that connect to NTC sensors integrated into a specialized 650 mm power cable.
The system operates by connecting the GPU to the power supply unit via the provided cable, while the NTC sensor plugs into the Edge Hub Adv. This setup integrates with the L-Connect 3 software on Windows to monitor connector temperatures in real time.
When the connector temperature hits a specific threshold, the software initiates an emergency shutdown. Users receive an on-screen alert to perform a manual shutdown before the system triggers the automatic process, followed by an email notification regarding the event.
