LG Display has unveiled a new 24.5-inch OLED panel designed specifically for competitive gaming. The display features a 720 Hz refresh rate, which the company claims is the highest among OLED screens, alongside a 0.02 ms response time and a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The manufacturer achieved these technical specifications by implementing a comprehensive design approach covering both the panel architecture and the control system. The 24.5-inch size was chosen to align with industry standards for esports, allowing players to view the entire screen area without significant eye movement.
The Asus ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace is the first monitor to feature this new panel. It has been selected as the official display for the upcoming PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026 tournament. The device includes a sensor that tracks height, tilt, and swivel angles, enabling players to replicate their preferred monitor setup across different systems.
