LG Energy Solution has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding with the US-based startup Indigotech. The partnership focuses on the supply of 46-series cylindrical NCM battery cells for Indigotech’s upcoming electric vehicle models, specifically the Flow Ride and Flow Cargo vans.

The companies intend to finalize a definitive agreement covering the period from 2027 to 2030. This collaboration aims to enhance vehicle performance by optimizing driving range and reducing charging times through integrated battery technology and performance verification.

Indigotech, headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts, specializes in commercial van platforms and is building an ecosystem that combines vehicles, charging infrastructure, and digital services. The startup focuses on the North American market for logistics, last-mile delivery, and ride-hailing.

For LG Energy Solution, this deal serves to expand its customer base for 46-series batteries in North America. The company reported that its cylindrical battery shipments grew by 1.5 times year-on-year as of the second quarter, driven by stable mass production of the 46-series line.
