On October 6, 2026, LG CNS introduced its blockchain infrastructure platform, KITL. The company simultaneously signed memorandums of understanding with five global blockchain firms, including Securitize.
The platform aims to support stablecoins, tokenized securities, and real-world assets for local financial institutions, such as banks, card companies, and payment providers.
LG CNS and Securitize intend to co-develop solutions for tokenizing funds and bonds. These tools are designed to align with the regulatory framework expected in South Korea by February 2027.
The KITL technology was previously tested during the Bank of Korea’s Project Hangang. That pilot involved seven banks and approximately 80,000 customers.
While the infrastructure is now established, no specific tokenized products or live issuances have been announced by the companies to date.
