Lexus has introduced a series of updates for the 2027 Lexus LS in the Japanese market. The flagship sedan receives structural reinforcements to the center tunnel, front, and rear ends, alongside a retuned suspension and electric power steering system. These changes aim to improve ride comfort, reduce body roll, and provide a more linear steering response.
The 2027 model features a new damping structure in the rear suspension and luggage braces to minimize high-frequency vibrations. Cosmetic upgrades include a panoramic roof option with a wind-noise-reducing mesh deflector and the replacement of the traditional rear logo with the Lexus script. The top-tier trim now offers cut-glass interior accents and additional leather color options.
In Japan, the vehicle is available exclusively as the 500h model, featuring a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid engine with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Customers can choose between F Sport, Version L, and Executive trim levels. Pricing for the updated sedan ranges from ¥14 140 000 to ¥18 050 000.
While the LS remains active in Japan, the model has been discontinued in the United States, where the 2026 model year served as a final tribute limited to 250 units. Lexus has indicated plans to repurpose the LS name for future vehicle concepts, including minivans and SUVs, as the brand shifts its focus toward electrification and alternative body styles.
