The 2027 Lexus TZ, the brand's first three-row electric SUV, was recently spotted in public during a commercial shoot in Toronto. The vehicle is built on the same platform as the upcoming Toyota Highlander BEV and is expected to reach the market between late 2026 and early 2027.
The SUV offers two battery options, 76.96 kWh and 95.82 kWh, providing a range of up to 300 miles. It features a dual-motor DIRECT4 AWD system with 420 horsepower and a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. The vehicle supports charging speeds up to 150 kW, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 35 minutes.
Equipped with a NACS charging port, the TZ is compatible with Tesla Superchargers without adapters. Its dimensions include a length of 200.8 inches, a width of 78.3 inches, and a height of 67.1 inches. The interior includes the latest Lexus Interface Multimedia system with updated voice control and EV-specific navigation tools.
Lexus emphasizes a focus on cabin quietness, dynamic rear steering, and a reinforced body structure. While official pricing remains unannounced, industry expectations suggest a starting price in the mid-$60,000 range, positioning it as a premium alternative to the Toyota Highlander BEV.
