The Brooklyn-based collective MSCHF has transformed two Lexus models into abstract sculptures commissioned by the automaker. The project features the all-electric RZ 450e and the plug-in hybrid RX 450h+.
The RZ 450e, which typically retails at a base price of $47 395 and produces 313 hp, was modified into the Circle Car. In this version, the front and rear of the vehicle are fused to create a continuous loop, rendering the crossover non-functional.
The second sculpture, Twisted Car, is based on the RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, which has a starting price of $66 780. MSCHF applied longitudinal torsion to the body, rotating it around its central axis to form a spiral shape.
The sculptures were exhibited at Chelsea Industrial in New York from September 24 to September 26, 2026, during Armory Week. Lexus displayed the art pieces alongside standard, unaltered versions of the respective vehicles.
Lexus officially classifies these creations as Form Cars and emphasizes that they should be viewed as sculptures rather than prototypes or concept vehicles.
