Leapmotor has officially launched production of its B10 compact SUV at the Stellantis facility in Zaragoza, Spain. This move represents a significant step in the company's localization strategy for the European market, which it describes as an in Europe, for Europe approach.
During the 2026 Paris Motor Show, the company also debuted the A05 model, which is known internationally as the B03. The A05 is built on the A platform and features the Qualcomm 8295 chip as standard. It is available with battery packs of 39.8 kWh and 53 kWh, offering ranges of 405 km and 510 km respectively.
The partnership between Leapmotor and Stellantis continues to expand. Stellantis, which holds a 51 percent stake in the Leapmotor International joint venture, previously invested €1.5 billion in October 2023 to acquire a 20 percent stake in the Chinese automaker.
Future plans include adding a production line at the Zaragoza plant for a new Opel C-segment electric SUV, scheduled for 2028. Additionally, Stellantis intends to transfer ownership of its Madrid-based Villaverde plant to the Spanish subsidiary of Leapmotor International.
Leapmotor is scaling its operations to meet a 2026 delivery target of 1 million vehicles. In the first nine months of 2026, the company delivered 666,539 vehicles, marking a 68.52 percent increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
