Footage of the Porsche Mission S supercar concept has leaked online ahead of its official reveal. The video, captured during a photo shoot in New York, shows a mid-engined vehicle featuring swollen fenders and an integrated hoop-style rear spoiler. The design includes a glass roof with two panes and a raised central spine.
A notable feature is the horizontally mounted cooling fan on the rear deck, reminiscent of those used on the Porsche 917 in the 1960s and 1970s. The presence of two pairs of stacked exhaust tips confirms the car uses an internal combustion engine, with reports suggesting a flat-8 configuration.
The project is part of a strategy to improve profitability through higher-margin vehicles. While some refer to the model as a successor to the 918 Spyder, it is reportedly targeting the supercar segment with higher production volumes. The official presentation is scheduled for 16.30 ET today.
