Land Rover is developing the Range Rover GT, which will be the brand's first non-SUV model. The vehicle features a low-slung fastback design, departing from the traditional high-riding stance of the existing lineup that includes the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Evoque, and Velar.

The model will launch as a fully electric vehicle, with plans to introduce a full-hybrid powertrain at a later date. The front end design incorporates slim horizontal headlights and a closed-off nose, as the space under the hood is dedicated to electric powertrain components.

Despite the sleek fastback profile, the manufacturer states the GT will retain all-wheel drive and off-road capabilities. The interior follows a minimalist design language, featuring a slim digital instrument cluster and a central touchscreen, maintaining the brand's signature elegance.

The Range Rover GT represents a strategic shift for the company, as it is the first model in the current range to debut without an internal-combustion engine option. The company positions the vehicle as a grand tourer intended for long-distance comfort.
