Lamborghini officials state that raw speed is no longer the sole defining characteristic of a supercar. As electric vehicles make rapid acceleration increasingly common in standard sedans and SUVs, the company is shifting its focus toward driving dynamics, sound, and emotional engagement.

Despite this shift, Lamborghini has no plans to reintroduce manual gearboxes. Paolo Racchetti, director of the Temerario model line, emphasized that the brand remains committed to innovation and evolving its vehicle architecture rather than looking back at traditional transmissions.

The company continues to integrate electrification through plug-in hybrid powertrains in models like the Revuelto, Temerario, and Urus SE. CEO Stephan Winkelmann confirmed that the development of a fully electric Lamborghini has been postponed indefinitely.

Future expansion plans include a 2+2 GT model inspired by the Lanzador concept, which will utilize a plug-in hybrid system. Meanwhile, the brand continues to prioritize high-revving engines, such as the new twin-turbo V8 that reaches 10,000 rpm.
