British company La Cinquecento has unveiled the 500 Scattante, a restomod based on a 1973 Fiat 500 R. The donor vehicle was discovered in a family barn in West Berkshire, where it remained for approximately 25 years before the restoration project began.

The vehicle features an 802 cc twin-spark engine sourced from a Fiat 126, paired with a manual transmission. The company has completely overhauled the suspension, steering, brakes, cooling, and electrical systems to enhance driving dynamics.

The car has a target curb weight of approximately 650 kilograms, which is about 150 kilograms heavier than the original 1973 model. The exterior design, developed by the Milan-based studio BorromeodeSilva, includes widened fenders and four rally-style front lights.

La Cinquecento intends to produce only a limited number of these vehicles annually, with each project developed in collaboration with the buyer. While the company has not officially disclosed pricing, media estimates suggest a cost of around $202,000.
