Kraken, led by co-CEO Arjun Sethi, currently manages approximately 7 million funded accounts globally. This figure represents a growth from 5.7 million accounts at the end of 2025 and 6.6 million in September 2026. The platform currently holds between $40 billion and $50 billion in customer assets, compared to $48.2 billion at the close of 2025.

Parent company Payward reported $2.2 billion in adjusted revenue for 2025, a 33% increase year-over-year. Total transaction volume on the platform reached $2.0 trillion in 2025, marking a 34% rise. These metrics support the company's strategic shift from a crypto-focused exchange toward a comprehensive financial infrastructure provider.

The expansion strategy involves integrating banking, asset management, and institutional services. Payward recently acquired NinjaTrader for $1.5 billion and Bitnomial for $550 million to broaden its reach into traditional trading and derivatives. The company is also developing new products, including lending, payment cards, and tokenized equities.

Operating across more than 190 countries, the firm aims to consolidate these services under a single regulatory framework and balance sheet. While the company leverages its scale and historical data, it faces the challenge of merging diverse technology stacks and navigating complex global regulatory environments for its new financial offerings.
