Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has entered a strategic partnership with SoFi Technologies to integrate their financial networks. Under the agreement, Kraken will join the SoFi Exchange Network, enabling institutional clients to process U.S. dollar settlements around the clock, regardless of traditional banking hours.

Kraken will list the SoFiUSD stablecoin for retail, professional, and institutional users. SoFi introduced this asset in December for use in payments, trading, and business transfers, and expanded it to the Solana blockchain in May 2026. The integration aims to streamline cross-platform operations.

SoFi will utilize Kraken Prime as an additional liquidity source for cryptocurrency trades executed within the SoFi application. This prime brokerage service facilitates trade execution and custody. Both companies noted that this collaboration could lead to improved trade pricing for SoFi customers.

The partnership follows a series of infrastructure expansions by both firms. In March 2026, Kraken Financial gained access to Federal Reserve payment systems, and Payward established a tokenized-equities partnership with Nasdaq. SoFi resumed its crypto services in June 2025.
