Kintsu has launched a private, invitation-only beta on the Canton Network. The platform allows users to participate in lending and borrowing activities, manage vaults, and perform staking operations using tokenized assets.

The beta, which went live between October 8 and 9, 2026, focuses on the network's native asset, Canton Coin (CC). Participants can use CC as collateral for loans, supply USDC to lending markets, and submit staking requests via the Canton testnet.

Lending markets within the beta operate on variable-rate models, where costs fluctuate based on supply and demand. Kintsu notes that additional features, including curated vaults and specific market tools, are expected to be released in the near future.

This development marks a shift for Kintsu, which originally launched as a liquid staking protocol. The company is now expanding its focus to include credit and capital markets, aiming to leverage the privacy-preserving features of the Canton Network, developed by Digital Asset.

The project follows a series of milestones, including a July 2026 testnet launch and the integration of the Cenote credit platform in August 2026. The current beta serves as a preparatory step toward eventual private mainnet access.
