Kia recently unveiled its new PV7 electric van at the IAA Transportation event. The vehicle is the second model in the company's Platform Beyond Vehicle lineup and measures over 5,350 mm in length, making it approximately 600 mm longer than the PV5 model.
The van features NCM battery packs with capacities of 71.5 kWh and 96.2 kWh. The Long Range Cargo version provides a WLTP range exceeding 460 km. The 800V architecture supports fast charging, allowing the battery to reach 80% capacity from 10% in about 25 minutes using a 350 kW charger.
The powertrain offers up to 200 kW of power and 420 Nm of torque. While front-wheel drive is standard, the company plans to introduce an all-wheel drive version. The cargo model provides up to 8 cubic meters of space, while the passenger version accommodates up to nine people.
Kia intends to launch 23 variants of the PV7 in total. The vehicle is scheduled for release in Korea and Europe in the second half of 2027. Although a prototype was recently spotted testing in the US, the company has not confirmed plans to sell the van in that market.
