Kia is expanding its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup with the introduction of the PV7, a larger electric van. The model will make its official debut at the IAA Transportation 2026 event in Hanover, Germany, which takes place from September 14 to September 20.
The PV7 will be built on the same modular E-GMP.S platform as its smaller sibling, the PV5. Based on the CES 2024 concept, the PV7 measures 5,270 mm in length, 2,065 mm in width, and 2,120 mm in height, with a 3,390 mm wheelbase, making it significantly larger than the PV5 Passenger version.
The new van is expected to feature the Pleos Connect infotainment system and fleet management software from Hyundai. Like the PV5, the PV7 will be available in several configurations, including Passenger and Cargo variants.
The PV7 is scheduled to go on sale in 2027. This expansion comes as the PV5 has seen strong performance, accounting for 37% of the European small electric van market in the first half of the year and holding over 50% of C-segment EV van sales in five countries. Globally, Kia sold 39,000 PV5 units through August.
