Kia has set a goal to sell 250,000 electric vans from its Platform Beyond Vehicle series by 2030. The company now expects the larger PV7 and PV9 models to outperform the smaller PV5 in total sales, with the larger vans projected to account for 130,000 units compared to 120,000 for the PV5.

The company is currently in negotiations with over 300 potential corporate clients. Kia reports that it has 4,000 units on standby and more than 17,000 units under active negotiation. Confirmed orders include 400 PV7 vans for Bravida, and over 300 units each for Motability in the UK and the Finnish company Kone.

The PV7, which debuted at IAA Transportation, measures 5,350 mm in length with a 3,500 mm wheelbase. Kia plans to release 23 variants of the model. Sales are scheduled to begin in Korea and Europe in the second half of 2027, followed by expansion into the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions.

Kia currently has no plans to bring the PV7 to the US market, citing challenges related to long driving distances for electric delivery vehicles. Meanwhile, the PV5 model has established a strong presence in Europe, capturing a 37% market share in the small electric van segment during the first half of 2026.
