Kia is expanding its electric commercial vehicle lineup with the PV7, a larger van based on the E-GMP.S platform. The vehicle is being tested on European roads with a test trailer, following a preliminary preview of the same model. The full reveal is scheduled for September 14 at the IAA Transportation 2026 event in Hanover, Germany.

The PV7 will be available in Passenger and Cargo versions for both business and personal use. Inside, the van is expected to feature a 12.9-inch infotainment screen and dedicated PBV software powered by Hyundai Pleos.

Technical specifications for the PV7 include an NMC battery with a capacity of over 70 kWh, which is expected to provide a WLTP range of at least 350 km. For comparison, the PV5 Passenger model offers battery packs of 51.5 kWh and 71.2 kWh, providing ranges of 295 km and 412 km respectively.

The PV7 is significantly larger than its smaller sibling. The CES 2024 concept version measured 5,270 mm in length, 2,065 mm in width, and 2,120 mm in height, with a 3,390 mm wheelbase. In contrast, the PV5 Passenger measures 4,695 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, and 1,915 mm in height, with a 2,995 mm wheelbase.
