Kia is preparing to debut the PV7 electric van at the IAA Transportation show on September 14. The vehicle is currently undergoing road testing in Europe. It will join the Platform Beyond Vehicle lineup as the second model, following the PV5 introduced last year.
The PV7 features a one-box design with a length of approximately 5,300 mm. For comparison, the PV5 Cargo Long model measures 4,695 mm in length. The new van is built on the E-GMP.S platform, which is a specialized version of the E-GMP architecture designed for commercial fleets.
The prototype spotted by photographers includes dual sliding doors and a vertical liftgate. While official powertrain specifications are not yet public, the vehicle is expected to utilize battery and motor configurations similar to those found in the smaller PV5 model.
