Kia has introduced the PV5 Chassis Cab in Europe and the UK, featuring a versatile design that supports various conversions. At the SOLUTRANS 2025 event, the company demonstrated several configurations developed with TGS Automotive Group, including a lightweight aluminum dump truck, a camper with a kitchen, and a food truck.
The UK market will receive the PV5 exclusively with a 71.2 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of up to 258 miles. Other regions will also have access to a 51.1 kWh standard-range option. The vehicle supports DC fast charging up to 120 kW, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 30 minutes, while an 11 kW AC supply requires 6 hours and 30 minutes for a full charge.
The platform provides a payload capacity of up to 1,005 kg and a 5.5-meter turning radius. Kia plans to launch the PV5 Chassis Cab in the UK and Europe in the coming months, with pricing and availability varying by region. The company intends to expand the PV5 lineup to 10 body types and will introduce the larger PV7 electric van next year.
