Kia has unveiled the PV7 electric van at the IAA Transportation event in Germany. This model is the second vehicle in the company's Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup, following the PV5, which launched in 2025. The PV7 is approximately 2 feet longer than the PV5 and will be available in both passenger and cargo configurations.
The vehicle is built on the E-GMP.S architecture, featuring a flat-floor design. Customers can choose between a 71.5kWh or a 96.2kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery pack. The Cargo Long-Range variant offers a range of 460km based on the WLTP cycle. The 800-volt system supports DC fast charging, allowing a 10–80 percent charge in under 25 minutes using a 350kW charger.
The van includes vehicle-to-load capabilities for powering external equipment. Inside, the infotainment system runs on the Android Automotive-based Pleos Connect OS, which integrates Gleo AI voice controls. The design features a two-tone front end and a tall, flat roof to maximize interior space.
Kia plans to officially launch the PV7 in Europe and Korea during the second half of 2027, with additional markets expected to follow. While the company has not confirmed a release date for the United States, reports indicate that a version of the van has been spotted testing in the region.
