Dealerships in the United States have initiated significant price cuts on the Kia EV9 to increase sales volume. A Texas-based dealer is offering a discount of $16 041 on the Light RWD trim, reducing its price from the original MSRP of $54 900 to $41 414.
Similar aggressive pricing strategies are observed in other regions. Liberty Auto Plaza in Illinois has lowered the price of the EV9 Light Short Range by $15 000, bringing it to $42 480. The Light Long Range model, which offers a range of 304 miles, is now available for $44 785 after a $15 000 discount.
The Kia EV9 is a three-row electric SUV capable of seating up to 7 adults. The Light RWD version provides a range of 230 miles on a single charge. Despite the size of the vehicle, it remains a competitive option in the current market due to these recent price adjustments.
Market data indicates that consumer interest in the model is growing. Sales of the Kia EV9 increased by 12% during the first 8 months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. These discounts are intended to further accelerate the movement of inventory from dealership lots.
