The KGM Torres EVX electric SUV is now eligible for the UK government's Electric Car Grant, providing a discount of £1,500. This incentive applies to models priced under £37,000, effectively lowering the starting price of the vehicle from £36,995 to £35,495. Retailers apply this grant directly at the point of purchase.
The vehicle is equipped with a 73.4 kWh LFP battery from BYD, offering a WLTP range of up to 287 miles. Its front-mounted motor delivers 152 kW and 399 Nm of torque. KGM states that the battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 28 minutes when using a maximum capacity of 120 kW. The SUV also includes vehicle-to-load capabilities.
In the UK market, the Torres EVX is sold in two trim levels, with the higher-spec K40 starting at £39,295 before the grant. This addition means KGM now has two models qualifying for government support, as the Musso EV pick-up remains eligible for the separate Plug-in Van Grant of £5,000, which reduces its starting price to £39,995 including VAT.
