JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has entered into a $20 billion partnership with the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). The agreement is split into two distinct components designed to support global equity portfolios and private market investments.

The first part involves a $15 billion mandate for public equities, where JPMAM will manage customized portfolios for the QIA. This initiative leverages the firm's active equity management capabilities, research resources, and global investment platform.

The second component is a $5 billion private markets project focused on providing senior financing to middle-market companies in the United States. The strategy prioritizes the technology, healthcare, industrial, and services sectors.

This deal follows other recent QIA investments, including a $25 billion commitment to Goldman Sachs' asset management division in January. Additionally, QIA has partnered with Blue Owl Capital on a digital infrastructure platform and with Brookfield Asset Management on a $20 billion AI infrastructure project.
