JLR has officially opened orders for the Range Rover Electric, the brand's first luxury battery-powered SUV. The base SE trim starts at $140,450 in the US and £154,070 in the UK. The company previously collected over 61,000 registrations of interest since late 2023.

The vehicle features a dual-motor AWD powertrain producing 542 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, enabling 0 to 60 mph acceleration in 4.3 seconds. It utilizes a 118.5 kWh battery on an 800V architecture, providing an EPA-estimated range of 333 miles or up to 372 miles under WLTP conditions.

Charging capabilities allow the battery to reach 80% capacity from 10% in approximately 22 minutes. In North America, the SUV includes a built-in NACS port for Tesla Supercharger access, while UK and European models support over one million public charging points.

The SUV is available in standard and long-wheelbase variants, with the LWB First Edition priced from $183,850. The vehicle maintains off-road capabilities, including a 900 mm water wading depth, and utilizes new Intelligent Driveline Dynamics to manage traction control.
