Janus Henderson, an asset management firm overseeing $373 billion, has joined the Avalanche network as a validator. This move marks a shift in strategy, as the company now actively participates in securing the blockchain infrastructure while continuing to issue tokenized financial products.

The firm currently manages two tokenized products on the Centrifuge platform: the Janus Henderson Anemoy AAA CLO Fund (JAAA) and the Janus Henderson Anemoy Treasury Fund (JTRSY). These products are deployed on Avalanche and other networks, including Ethereum.

The JAAA fund has reached approximately $690 million in assets under management across eight blockchains. Its portfolio includes 36 AAA-rated collateralized loan obligations, which have recorded no defaults or principal losses to date.

Partner firm Grove plans to deploy up to $250 million into Janus Henderson’s tokenized offerings on Avalanche by mid-2025. This investment target is expected to potentially double the real-world asset footprint currently present on the Avalanche network.
