Jaguar has unveiled the Type 01, a four-seat electric coupe built on the JEA platform. The vehicle features a 5235 mm long body with a 0.23 drag coefficient, achieved through active grille shutters and a three-position rear spoiler. The structure is composed of 73% aluminum.
The car is powered by three electric motors producing a combined 1030 hp and 1365 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.2 seconds. It utilizes an 850-volt architecture with a 118 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 720 km under the WLTP cycle.
Charging capabilities include adding 321 km of range in 13 minutes using a 350 kW station, or reaching 80% charge from 10% in 22 minutes. The vehicle features a 50:50 weight distribution and an Nvidia-based driver assistance system with 10 cameras, 5 radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors.
The interior includes a 24-inch OLED display, a 7-inch touchscreen for climate control, and a rear-view camera display. The cargo capacity ranges from 450 to 1000 liters. Production will take place in Solihull, UK, with orders opening early next year and deliveries starting in the second half of 2027.
